Amid the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) held in Dubai, Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, and Redcon Properties, a frontrunner in sustainable real estate development, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ambitious plans to transform the landscape of sustainable living in Egypt. Their collaboration centers around integrating AVEVA's cutting-edge software solutions, facilitated by Schneider Electric, into Redcon Properties' flagship project, the prestigious Golden Gate development in New Cairo. This landmark agreement signifies a significant stride toward creating a blueprint for smart and sustainable communities within Egypt.

Under the MoU's framework, Schneider Electric is committing a substantial investment of EGP 20 billion to incorporate AVEVA software solutions into the operational systems of the Golden Gate project. This partnership will see the implementation of the AVEVA unified operations center, a system designed to provide secure, real-time visualization of enterprise-wide operations. By employing an asset model, this platform applies context to processes, alarms, events, and archived data, creating a cohesive information stream that enhances system maintenance and operational flexibility. Notably, the system will effectively manage energy and water consumption, as well as irrigation systems. Furthermore, it will enable the seamless integration of processes and facilities while enhancing the availability and functionality of resources such as elevators and escalators, thereby contributing to an eco-friendly and efficient infrastructure.

Sebastien Riez, Cluster President of Schneider Electric Northeast Africa and Levant, emphasized the urgency of addressing climate change challenges and reducing carbon emissions, highlighting Schneider Electric's commitment to supporting Egyptian real estate developers with state-of-the-art sustainable technologies for smart buildings. He stated that their extensive portfolio of solutions aims to help developers manage and operate smart buildings efficiently, enhancing the quality of life for residents while upholding sustainability commitments. This expanded partnership with Redcon Properties reflects their shared commitment to creating smart, sustainable, and efficient administrative buildings in Egypt, ultimately improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability for both existing and future smart buildings. Eng. Tarek El-Gamal, Chairman of Redcon Properties, expressed his enthusiasm for integrating sustainability across all project phases, emphasizing their dedication to sustainable building design and construction, enhanced resource efficiency, and reduced environmental impact through cutting-edge technology, including AI solutions. The collaboration with Schneider Electric is expected to strengthen their efforts in achieving sustainability goals within the Golden Gate project and other future endeavors.
