Egypt's NPPA applies for construction permits for El Dabaa plant

The Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA) of Egypt has applied to the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulation Authority for a construction permit for units 1 and 2 of the El Dabaa nuclear power plant. Full-scale construction will commence once the permit has been granted.

“Since the launch of the Egyptian nuclear project under the auspices of the political leadership, we have spared no effort in implementing the successive commitments related to the project’s development,” Amged El-Wakeel, board chairman of NPPA, said.
