Egypt climbed 1 rank in 2019 up from the 94th in this version of the report released annually by the World Economic Forum.
Egypt improved on almost all pillars of the ranking of the report whether infrastructure, institutions, ICT adoption, skills and market related pillars.

It only scored lower than last year in macroeconomic stability and healthy life expectancy.

Singapore came as the top performing country globally. While UAE led the MENA region in rank 25 followed closely by Saudi Arabia in rank 36.

Egypt ranked lowest among MENA countries, followed only by Iran and Yemen.
