Radwan: U.S. will suspend 33% of Egyptian debt

Radwan said the talks included forgiving one billion dollars of Egyptian debt to the U.S in order to fund development projects.

Egyptian Finance Minister Samir Radwan discussed the details of an American economic package to Egypt with David Lipton, advisor to the U.S. President.

Radwan said Egyptian debt to the U.S. is about 3 billion dollars, which means that the U.S will forgive one-third of the debt within three years.
