Egypt’s Princess Fawzia Farouk To Launch Jewellery Line

The collection featuring carefully crafted pieces by artisans is expected to be sold in the French Riviera and Monaco.

With a focus on celebrating her cultural heritage, Princess Fawzia Farouk, the youngest granddaughter of King Farouk of Egypt, and the daughter of the last reigning monarch of Egypt, Crown Prince Ahmed Fouad, is set to launch her jewellery line in Europe.


Reportedly releasing in June, the collection features exclusive and distinctive items, to highlight the country’s rich culture and artisanal traditions on a global scale.


According to reports the limited edition pieces will be available both online and in select stores in parts of the French Riviera and Monaco. 


From a picture circulating online, the line seems to feature creations with blue and turquoise-hued stones.


The collection also features unique and carefully selected handmade items, which use ancestral pottery, baskettery, embroidery, marquettery and alabaster sculpture-making techniques. The line pays tribute to the hospitality and gifting tradition of the Arab world.


Currently the princess runs Nilazur, @nilazur.by.princess.fawzia, a platform that aims to promote Egyptian creations in the European luxury market. The brand celebrates the beauty of the Nile and the Côte d’Azur by offering artisanal treasures, including fashion, decoration pieces, gifts, jewellery using made by Egyptian master craftsmen using natural materials, as well as ancestral techniques.
